Siliguri Celebrated Rabindra Jayanti Defying the Bad Weather [VIDEO]

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 10^th May, 2017: Siliguri Yesterday celebrated 156^th Birth Anniversary of Kaviguru Rabindranath. In the morning due to the bad weather condition the programs started late from the scheduled time. The main program was organized by the Siliguri Municipal Corporation at Rabindra Manch of Baghajatin Park, Siliguri. Here various dignitaries including the Mayor of SMC Mr. Asok Bhattacharya offered floral tribute to the statue of the World Poet. Later a cultural program was also organized at the Open theater. The SDIC also organized the Rabindra Jayanti at Siliguri Rabindranagar Girls High school. Apart from these, various programs were organized by many cultural association, schools, and even housing societies also organized their program. Among the major program organizers were Milanpally Housing Society, Kshanik Sangha of South Bharat Nagar, Himalaya Kanya Abasan Society etc.
